A community within Carolina Trace

Welcome

Situated in the beautiful Carolina Trace Gated Community, North Shore is a separate and distinct community that boasts being the largest in Carolina Trace as well as having several amenities within it (including the Carolina Trace Country Club).

Owned by the property owners, the NSPOA is managed by an elected Board of Directors who are committed to preserving the beautiful and serene setting of North Shore that enchants homeowners and visitors alike.  Several committees assure a continuity of design that meets the highest standards of community planning.

This web site is for property owners and interested individuals to keep abreast of the POA and the many activities, programs and services it affords.

Enjoy!

Spring Cleanup - March 24-27

Please stack your fallen twigs and limbs in lengths of 6 foot or less in a neat pile by the side of the road...but please don’t do it before March the 17th.

We will pick up: Fallen limbs and twigs, trimmings from shrubbery or small tree limbs We can’t pick up: Cut down trees, lawn clippings, leaves, or trash

Please help your neighbor if you know they aren’t able to do get theirs to the curb. You can make separate arrangements (at your expense) with the following providers to have your piles of “not acceptables” picked up:

  • Bobby Branch 919-770-5641
  • Tony Forgione 919-356-5126
  • Phil Stone 919-776-4678

Questions: Mike Focke, Roads and Drainage, 919-498-3050, mike.focke@gmail.com

North Shore Golf and Social - March 25

We welcome ALL North Shore residents to North Shore Golf and social activities. Our next event will be held on Mar 25th at 1 PM with a 9-hole Superball.

We will meet at the Club for drinks and a social hour from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM followed by dinner (Spaghetti & Meat Balls served family style & cookie for desert), $12.95 plus tax and tip.

Sign up in the Pro Shop for Golf, or call Stew or Florence Smith at 777-3250. Please RSVP no later than noon on Sat Mar 20th; phone or e-mail (sbs2001930@yahoo.com) and include your club number, so we can get the numbers to Jackie.

Remember if you do not belong to the Country Club you may still use the Club facilities 6 times a year.

In January it was decided that the NSPOA portion of the 50/50 would be given to our Road Fund. The February NSPOA portion was $50.00 and has been deposited.

Update of Bylaws and "Covenants"

On December 30th, all lot owners were mailed a packet consisting of a cover letter, copies of the proposed updates to NSPOA Bylaws and "Covenants" (CCRR's), and separate forms on which to record whether or not you approve these documents.

It is extremely important that every lot owner complete the two (2) decision forms and return them to us at your earliest convenience.  A postage-paid return envelope is included in the packet to help make this easy to do.

Because of the high legal standard for approving changes to Covenants, the Board will be following up, as needed, to obtain enough lot owner responses to determine an outcome.

If you have a question about either document, the update effort, or the approval process, please contact any Board member.

Click Here to review the Cover Letter and two proposed documents.  For those who wish more detail, attached are the two documents showing changes made during the various editing processes:

Existing documents are found on the Documents, Forms and Minutes page.

We Need Your Email Address!

If we could email you information we can save valuable resources!  The cost of paper, ink, postage, time to stuff envelopes by multiple people, trips to the Post Office - all of these add up to a lot of money and time.  If we had your email address we could eliminate most (but not all) of these unnecessary expenditures.

The Communications Committee would welcome your support by completing a Resident Information Form and mailing it to:

Regular Monthly Board Meetings

The Board of Directors meets monthly at the Carolina Trace Country Club.  All are welcome to attend (to the extent of available seating space) and the Board makes time for questions and comments from Association members.

Board meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM.
